Introducing Bristol University Press: a message from Alison Shaw

May is a month of celebration for us as we publish the first books and journals under the Bristol University Press brand. With Squaring the Circle on Brexit by John Erik Fossum and Hans Petter Graver from the University of Oslo, and the Journal of Public Finance and Public Choice with Emma Galli, Sapienza Università di Roma as Editor in Chief, you will see us venture into European politics, law and public economics.  This is just the start of our mission to the publish the highest quality scholarship addressing global challenges across the social sciences and aligned disciplines.

With Policy Press as the award-winning imprint of Bristol University Press, we already come with a strong reputation. Policy Press will continue to lead the way in publishing impactful work that seeks to understand social problems, promote social change and inform policy and practice.  We have an excellent range of Policy Press books launching this Spring, such as the University of Oxford’s Danny Dorling on Peak Inequality and the ground-breaking The New Working Class by Claire Ainsley, Executive Director of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.  Click here to see our new Spring catalogue.

This is just the start of an exciting time at Bristol University Press as we unveil our relaunched website, distinctive new logo and social impact mission.  This reflects our commitment to disseminate brave and important global scholarship that ignites public debate and promotes positive social change.
