19 Oct 2016

HABITAT III (the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development) has just taken place in Quito, Ecuador.

David Simon’s book, Rethinking sustainable cities: Accessible, green and fair (our first Open Access monograph) launched at the event on Tuesday 18th October, supported by Mistra Urban Futures, where David Simon is a Director.

As a former specialist advisor to UN-HABITAT on cities and climate change, David Simon wrote an article about the event and what it means for creating sustainable and resilient cities, for the Policy Press blog.

Rethinking sustainable cities: Accessible, green and fair is available Open Access under CC-BY-NC licence via OAPEN. The paperback can be bought from the Policy Press website (with a 35% discount for newsletter subscribers).
